Following a successful roof replacement designed by Fleming and Associates, PA in 2017, Johnston Community College decided to improve the remainder of the building enclosure. Several options were reviewed, ranging from painting the metal wall panels to overlaying a higher-performing wall panel over the existing. Due to structural concerns, the added weight of new panels was not feasible. Also included in the project were an overall building cleaning, painting, various masonry repairs, and joint sealant replacement.
