Fleming & Associates performed an interior Phase I visual structural inspection and submitted a report of the existing structural conditions at the Glenville Lake WTP. Pursuant to our Phase I study, we designed repairs to deficiencies at the WTP. Requirements for this project included significant hands-on construction administration for the installation of high performance cementitious coatings. We coordinated directly with high-performance coating manufacturers and materials testing firms during construction to ensure proper installation. Our office performed nineteen hold point inspections and site visits over a three-month period to minimize construction delays and ensure the plant was back operational prior to the high water demand summer season. The project was completed on time and within the allotted budget.
On a separate contract at the plant, Fleming & Associates was the prime consultant hired to design the roof replacement of the chemical storage building, watershed building, and filter gallery. Our office also assessed and provided re-coating and water-repellant specifications to be used on exterior brick and concrete walls to minimize water infiltration and degradation of the walls.
