We were hired as the prime consultant to design a roof replacement for the Horace Sisk building, which has a roof area of approximately 55,455 sq. ft. An initial roof assessment determined the majority of the insulation and coverboard were wet, necessitating a total tear off. The new roof system was comprised of new insulation, coverboard, and a fully adhered single ply PVC membrane. Additionally, all drain bowls were replaced. Project challenges included occupancy of students in the building during construction and the campus setting.  The project was completed on schedule and within budget at a construction cost of $1.1M or $18.50 per sq. ft.
