Fleming & Associates was hired to provide building enclosure consulting services to Cumberland County for this project. The Courthouse and Department of Social Service (DSS) buildings have a combined roof square footage of 102,400 sq. ft. The original DSS roof skylights were removed and replaced. The DSS insulation and coverboard still had remaining life so the existing BUR was overlaid with a mechanically fastened new single ply fleece back thermoplastic membrane. The Courthouse was a combined partial re-cover and partial tear off with all areas receiving a new single ply thermoplastic membrane. The project was designed and completed within the original bid amount of approximately $1.7 mil or $16.80 per sq. ft.
